Episode 3 Pre-Show: Jason Griffey, Maurice Coleman and Robin Hastings Discuss Mobile and Libraries

EBSCO

With this week's episode Mobile Services: The Library in Your Pocket fast approaching, we figured we'd give you a preview via a behind-the-scenes look at how we prepare for an episode.

Before every episode, we assemble our panel for a "practice hangout" where we set some basic parameters for the episode's discussion. As you can see from the video below, our panelists are so eager to go that we had to suspend this discussion so they could save their views for the real thing!

Please join us this Thursday, February 14th at 2pm for what is sure to be an outstanding discussion. To participate, simply visit http://americanlibrarieslive.org/ at the time of the event! You can register in advance here: http://ht.ly/hBWkM

Maurice is right, as usual.

As Bill Buxton said at a lecture at Stanford, where does God live, not in the states, but in the transitions.

Mobile lives in the transitions.

Urgent now; repetitive now; bored now; this is how people use and experience mobile

When we are single, we think about moving closer to our work place so we don't have to travel too much. But once we have children, this type of thinking changes. I have chosen to move closer to the France gites where my son learns because he is involved in a lot of scholar activities and I have to drive him back and forwards to school every day. It does take up a lot of my time but it's totally worth it.

you have proven this concept books for children
